Strategic Plan Initiative 1

The POA Board is currently recruiting for a Property Owner with measurable background and work experience in Strategic Planning. This individual will facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with the Board and key management personnel in drafting the Strategic Plan. It is anticipated the Strategic Plan Team will meet once a week for 1-2 hours.

While the current Master Plan remains a living document, the prioritization of Big Canoe projects is determined by 1) the Chambers Survey Results from Big Canoe residents, 2) the results from research and recommendations compiled by the Long Range Planning Committee, and 3) the review and approval of the Project Schedule by the POA Board.

The POA of Big Canoe needs a formal document that defines where the POA wants to be in ten or fifteen years and how we are to arrive there. Such a document should be referred to as Vision 2030 or Vision 2035 to delineate new futures and new opportunities for Big Canoe. The Strategic Plan is to correspond with the Master Plan in identifying and scheduling future project directives for the community.

As this community evolves and the demographics change, Community Surveys should be regularly conducted by a professional business source.

Creek 9 Initiative Full

The Creek 9 Initiative will push for the passing of the renovation of the Creek 9 golf course for the Big Canoe Property Owners Association. Creek 9 has had numerous issues regarding the infrastructure, in particular the irrigation systems, and based on the age of the course, a full renovation of the course is recommended as opposed to piecemeal fixes. Our goal is to obtain accurate quotes for the project and publish information as to why the renovation will assist all property owners in Big Canoe rather than just golfers.
